Armando has worked at various organizational levels leveraging two decades of experience in software engineering, program management, cybersecurity, big data, solutions architecture and sales and marketing leadership for commercial and government enterprises.
As a DoD trained Facility Security Officer (FSO) Armando has been responsible for vetting personnel suitability for security clearances, technical surveillance counter measures (TSCM) and operational facility security needed to protect information and personnel operating within corporate facilities subject to cyber and terrorism threats by nation state and domestic terrorist.
Having started his career as a software engineer he advanced to consulting and leadership roles. As a tech entrepreneur Armando founded and led the sales and marketing efforts for multiple organizations from small to fortune 500. His technology experience includes, finance, insurance, banking manufacturing, Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Armando co-founded Ross Technologies, Inc. (RTGX) a company that specialized in enterprise network and security management and that developed and managed cybersecurity and big data analytic systems used by the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Armando is an advisory director for Dovestech an advanced cyber and big data.
In 20128 Armando was appointed as one of three directors of the Maryland Institute for Security Innovation (MISI) a not for profit that was formed in 2018. MISI is responsible for DreamPort, an innovative cyber research organization designed to collaborate with US CYBERCOM under a partnership intermediary agreement (PIA), the Department of Defense, academia and commercial companies with a focus on technology exchange, education, STEM mentoring, collaboration and advanced research on game changing cyber technologies. The University of Maryland System is one of the founding DreamPort partners.
Armando is a Director for the Greater Baltimore Cares Mentoring Organization and a supporter of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Baltimore, The National Cares Mentoring Movement, South Florida Cares Mentoring and the Living Classrooms Foundation.
