Dexter comes to SSI guardian after spending over two decades in the emergency management field. He possesses strong qualifications in training, resource management, public safety, and emergency response. Mr. Williford has been responsible for fire safety and code enforcement for both the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and the U.S. Embassy located in Kabul Afghanistan. Dexter has extensive experience conducting public education programs related to fire safety for both the home and office settings.
During his time as a Rescue Team Leader for the Marine Corps’ Chemical, Biological, Incident Response Force, he gained valuable experience dealing with multiple agencies such as the FBI, Homeland Security, and the Secret Service. He possesses the experience and ability to execute the operational aspects of the National Incident Management System (NIMS), the Incident Command System (ICS), and other relevant emergency management guidance documents in order to coordinate and deliver disaster assistance to affected communities.
Mr. Williford is at ease with integrating response methods between numerous local agencies, while rendering emergency medical techniques in the field. He was selected to lead the stand-by rescue detail for the 2008 Republican National Convention, the 2008 Presidential Inauguration, and the President’s State of the Union Address. Dexter is also a certified Explosive Canine Detection Handler as well as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician.
