Don’t become a statistic.
A study by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reveals the overall number of active shooter incidents to have increased from 6.4 per year (2000-2006) to 16.4 per year (2007-2013). Since 2013 (the year of the Sandy Hook tragedy), there have been at least 160 school shootings in America – an average of one per week. These unfortunate events have resulted in public outcry and calls for more research on campus shootings and violence. SSI Guardian and NC State have set the new standard through this advanced training. You need to take action now. Teachers, employees, and students should be able to show up for work or school without worrying about their safety.
From the first shot to the last, the average incident lasts 8 to 12 minutes.
What will you do?
Your actions in the next 90 seconds may well determine if you, your employees, or your students survive. Are you prepared? Do you know what to do?
You will learn how to prepare and best practice actions to take when confronted with an active shooter, and will gain an understanding of how to respond to law enforcement officials. All trainings are not created equal; in a situation where your life and the lives of others are on the line, the quality of that training and the expertise of the instructors will make all the difference.
